Director of Marketing - Brooklyn, NY
The Director of Marketing will be responsible for the overall brand strategy and lead strategic thinking regarding Marketing efforts for both brick and mortar Rainbow stores and the Rainbowshop E-Commerce site. You will lead a multi -functional brand team and ensure that all commercial activation is in line with brand objectives. The ideal candidate is innovative, displays original thinking and creativity, meets challenges with resourcefulness, generates suggestions for improving work, develops innovative approaches and ideas, as well as presents ideas and information in a manner that is attention grabbing.

Responsibilities:

· Strategic Planning - Take part in shaping and building an exciting marketing plan that supports shifting consumer's habits by delivering an excellent experience to thousands of people every day.
· Social Media and Digital - Implementing effective short and long term strategies to achieve commercial targets and goals. Leading all aspects of the paid search campaigns. (Budget, research, negotiation, control, analysis)
· Market Research – Leading competitive analysis, customer segmentation, market penetration and product positioning. Oversees development and maintenance of customer database.
· Marketing Communication – Branding, public relations, and advertising. Establishes and maintains relationships and serve as liaison with agencies and key community and strategic partners on ongoing promotional campaigns.
· Marketing Budget and control – Develop and manage marketing budget whilst tracking KPI’s and ROI for all of our marketing activity. Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.

Desired Skills and Experience

· Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field.
· 10+ years experience within a senior level marketing for a brick and mortar and E-Commerce retailer, preferable in the apparel sector.
· Executive level communications skills, written, verbal and presentation.
· Hands-on leader with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
· Strong strategic, analytical and organizational skills.
· Collaborative leadership style with a commitment to working in a shared leadership organization.
· Results driven with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and competing timelines.
· Proven ability to set and communicate a clear vision and bring strategy to life.
· Proactive, energetic, self-started focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
· Solid understanding of CRM, CMS and marketing automation tools and how they can be integrated.
· Tech savvy with a strong utilization of social platforms and mobile technology.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
